Information

Pumpernickel is located in Friars Vennel, the oldest street in Dumfries.

On the walls of the buildings, visitors can find plaques with notes of historical interest.

At the top of Friars Vennel there once stood the old Greyfriers Monastery where the Friers, who gave their name to the vennel, lived.

- Testimonials -

"Everyone at the party commented on how delicious the buffet was. In particular, all the vegetarians said what a pleasant change it was to see vegetarians specially catered for, instead of the usual pasta and lettuce!"

- Tom, Thistle Cottage. Lochmaben.

"Thank you for the excellent spread - it was very much appreciated and so many people commented that they had enjoyed the buffet. We will certainly be recommending you to anyone else organising an evening 'do' and needing a buffet.
Thanks for delivering it and collecting the plates too."

- Dr. Heather Paul.

"Many thanks for providing the catering at the Personal Enterprise Show in Dumfries. Both the staff and show participants remarked on the quality of the food and friendliness of your people. They all contributed to an enjoyable and successful event."
